Just like sambhar powder, every household will have their own recipe of rasam powder. Here is my rasam powder recipe.
INGREDENTS | |
Coriander Seeds | 65 g |
Whole Red Chilli | 40 g |
Cumin Seeds | 20 g |
Pepper | 30 g |
Fenugreek Seed | 1 1/2 tsp |
Mustard Seed | 1 tsp |
Asafoetida | 2 tsp |
Curry Leaves | 30 g |
Tuvar Dal | 2 tbsp |
METHOD
- Dry roast all the above ingredients (except asafoetida, if using in powder form) separately and grind to a fine powder.
- Use about 1 1/2 to 2 tsp for making rasam for 4 people.
