A quick dosa recipe with oats which does not require any fermentation. This dosa can be made in a jiffy with a very few ingredients and tastes really good. My daughter love this dosa and hence I make it quite often.
INGREDIENTS | |
Oats | 1/2 cup |
Rava (Sooji) | 1/3 cup |
Rice Flour | 1/3 cup |
Cumin Seeds | 1/2 tsp |
Pepper (coarsely ground) | 1/2 tsp |
Curry Leaves (finely chopped) | 1 sprig |
Onion (finely chopped) | 1/2 cup |
Green Chilli (Finely chopped) | 2 |
Salt | To taste |
Oil | As required |
Water | As required |
METHOD
- In a big mixing bowl, add oats, rava, rice flour, cumin seeds, pepper, curry leaves and salt. Mix well and add in water to make a thin buttermilk like consistency batter.
- Heat a dosa tawa and spread some oil on it.
- Spread some finely chopped onion and green chilli on the tawa and then spread the oats dosa batter over the onions. Add at least a tsp of oil around the edges of the dosa and let it cook on medium low fire till the bottom side turns brown. Flip it and cook the other side brown.
- Serve hot with coconut chutney or sambhar. I served it with gun powder (dosa milagai podi).
